Roger has a passion for baseball that began at a very early age in Randall Minnesota. He played high school baseball for the Little Falls Flyers and helped the Flyers to a state championship win over Minnetonka in 1979.
He continued his baseball career at Saint Cloud State University from 1979-1981. He played amateur baseball for eighteen years, twelve years for the Flensburg Falcons and six years for the Randall Cubs.
After graduating from Saint Cloud State, he was hired as an elementary teacher in Randall.
Roger is very active in the Little Falls community. He coached and helped to develop the Junior Victory League, a league that provides baseball opportunities for players in Morrison County in grades two through eight. He is a supporter of the Little Falls Flyers Booster Club. Roger was inducted into the Little Falls High School Hall of Fame.
