Kyle has been a chairman for three state amateur tournaments hosted by Hutchinson in 2005, 2016 and 2025 and was instrumental in the building of a new grandstand at Veterans Memorial Field in 2025. Most nights you will find him working at the ballpark in some capacity.
Kyle attributes much of his success to his parents, Boots and Margaret, along with wife, Anita, daughters Maddison (Mitchell), Amber (Jayden), Rebecca (Troy), Emily (Gavin) and a growing list of grandchildren.
