Tom Rademacher, age 73, of Rosen passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Thomas Michael Rademacher was born on July 28, 1949 to parents Marcus and Clara (Laners) Rademacher in Ortonville, Minnesota. Tom loved his family, church, and Rosen Express baseball. Tom married Jeannie Roggenbuck on September 4, 1971.


Growing up on the family farm outside Rosen was something that Tom cherished. Being the 8th of 11 children, a deep love of family and church was instilled at an early age. He was baptized and confirmed, and also attended 1st through 8th grades at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and School in Rosen. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1967.

Bob Karn Honored

Longtime St. Cloud Cathedral baseball coach Bob Karn was honored by the Hall of Fame Board for his years of service as Secretary/Treasurer and Museum Director.

He served the Hall of Fame in that role from 1996-2022!

​Board President Dennis Roisum presents Bob with a plaque recognizing his tremendous work and dedication to the Hall of Fame.  Thanks Bob!

Jerry Riewer - 1985 HOF

Gerald “Jerry” Riewer, age 85, died peacefully on November 16, 2022, surrounded by family in St. Cloud Hospital. 

Jerry and his twin sister, Geraldine, were born to John “Jack” and Cecelia Riewer in Bagley, Minnesota on April 15, 1937. When Jerry and Geraldine were 8 years old their mother died. Their Aunt Theresa Thul then helped raise Jerry, Geraldine, and their siblings Leroy, Eileen, Rose, and Peter. Nine years later when their father died, Theresa raised the kids on her own and refused to separate the children into foster care.  

Jerry attended Bagley Schools and participated in basketball and baseball. He graduated from Bagley H.S. in 1955. He went one year to Bemidji State University, and then worked a year as a Merchant Marine on the sister ship to the Edmond Fitzgerald on the Great Lakes. He realized that this type of work wasn’t for him so he returned to Bemidji State and graduated in 1960 with a Physical Education and Biology degree. While at Bemidji State he played Baseball and Basketball. ​

Joseph Michael Driscoll, age 70 of Le Sueur, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 16, 2022, and the world became a little quieter.

Joe was born on July 8, 1951 to Joseph and Dolores (Osborne) Driscoll in St. Peter, MN.  He went through St. Anne’s grade school and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1969.

Joe attended Southwest State University where he played baseball, basketball and football.  Joe married Nancy May on August 5, 2000 in Le Sueur, MN.  Joe worked various jobs and careers.

Robert "Bob" J. Zellmann

Robert “Bob” Zellmann age 89 of Norwood Young America passed away Tuesday May 10, 2022 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Robert John Zellmann was born on December 1st, 1932 Norwood, MN. Robert was the Son of Otto and Della (Fabel) Zellmann. Baptized and Confirmed at Church of Peace, Norwood, MN and graduated from Central High School in 1951. He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean War period.   On October 15th 1955 Robert was united in marriage to JoAnn Dreier at Emanuel Lutheran Church Hamburg, MN. This union was blessed with four children Cathy, Robert, James and Connie. They made their home in Norwood for the past 66 Years.  Bob worked and operated the BIG STORE in Norwood with his wife JoAnn. He was a Block Layer and a Rural Mail Carrier.

Levinus A. "Lee/Lovie" Sand passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Lee was born at home, on the family farm, on May 1, 1937 in New Munich to Peter and Elizabeth (Thull) Sand. During his teenage years, Lee played baseball with the New Munich Amateur Team.

After high school, Lee proudly served in the US Army where he was a sharpshooter and received the Good Conduct Medal. Lee returned home and began playing amateur baseball with the Greenwald Cubs.

He married Rita M. Diederichs on November 24, 1965 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. He lived in St. Cloud all of his married life and was employed at Apollo High School for 32 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Parish and the Lake Henry American Legion Post #612. He also served on the Minnesota Stearns County League. Lee was inducted into the Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.

Richard (Rich) Perry Ditty, 82, of Delano, Minn., passed away Friday March 6, 2015 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN.

Richard was born Feb. 5, 1933, to Perry and Cecilia (Kiedrowski) Ditty in Delano.

Rich and his wife Donna owned Ditty Plumbing and Heating, and have contributed to the Delano Community in many ways. As an outstanding Delano High School athlete, he received All Conference Honors in baseball, football, and basketball. He also was named to the All-State Minnesota Central football team and Region 5 basketball and baseball teams.
